Belize is located on the southern tip of Mexico and in eastern Guatemala, right on the Caribbean Sea. Has a population of less than 300,000 were given only for independence from Britain in 1981. This is a mix of old culture and traditions of Mestizo and Mayan people and the influence of English which allows you to find the two worlds - old and new - that make Belize so inviting. Find the small shops that offer traditional carvings and crafts (sold very cheap - but forgetting the coral jewelry because you will not be able to bring it back home), listening to street musicians or eat at some good restaurants along the beach. Whatever your passion you will find in Belize.
