Miraculously majestic and Borobudur Temple

Bumisegoro village of Borobudur Temple is located near Magelang, disebuah hill that exists between the hill Dagi and the other a small hill, and on the south side of the hill Menoreh. Approximately two kilometers east of it there is a meeting of two rivers ie river Progo and Elo river.

Various relics of Hindu religious rituals as well as a means of Buddhism prevalent in Indonesia especially in Java. The ingredients of the ritual of sacred buildings called temples, various sacred pond called patirthan and monastery caves. One of the most important legacy not only for Buddhists but also for the entire Indonesian nation is a sacred building, known as Borobudur temple, which has been defined by UNESCO as World Heritage (World Heritage) in 1991.

Borobudur was rediscovered in 1814, when Sir Thomas Stamford Raffles, Governor General of the United Kingdom in Java have a report about a temple named Borobudur, in the village Bumisegoro near Magelang. Then he told Cornelius, a Dutch engineer to examine the temple. Cornelius sent for cutting and cleaning of the temple and the surrounding bush and the work is completed within two months. What was done by Cornelius wrote in the book of the famous Stamford Raffles' The History of Java "published in 1817.

With all the grandeur and mystery that is only natural that everyone from all over the world want to visit Borobudur. Borobudur is evidence of excellence and human intelligence has ever made in Indonesia. This is also a big cultural attraction in Indonesia and not the Bali and Jakarta.

Borobudur is the biggest temple in Indonesia. Borobudur temple is located in Magelang, Central Java, in addition to being famous tourist attraction, the temple was also the center of worship for Buddhists in Indonesia, especially at every celebration of Vesak. Borobudur Temple also known as; Monastery in the hills; because it is located in the hills. On the walls there are reliefs of Borobudur temple wall which tells a legendary story of Ramayana. In addition, there are relief panels describing the condition of society at that time. All relief panels in Borobudur temple reflect the teachings of the Buddha. Therefore, this temple as a medium of education for people who want to learn Buddhism.

The temple was built around 800 BC or 9th century has been designated as one of UNESCO's cultural heritage and proud to not only make all people in Indonesia but also worldwide. This Buddhist temple has 1460 relief panels and 504 Buddha effigies. Borobudur was built by Samaratungga, one of the kings of Old Mataram Kingdom, the descendant Sailendra. Gunadarma is the architect of record as someone who managed to build this temple.

The base of Borobudur, called Kamadhatu, symbolizing human beings that are still bound by desire. Four levels mentioned above represents Rupadhatu, humans who have set themselves free from lust but still tied to appearance and shape. Borobudur Temple as a whole has ten levels which consists of six levels of the level, square a circle and a three-round main stupa as a peak. At every level there are several stupas. In total there are 72 domes in addition to the main stupa. In each of the stupa there is a statue of Buddha.
